Notes The daughter of Mr George R. Ireland. Auckland Star, 30 July 1892, page 3: 'Miss Harrie Ireland, without a doubt (says a Sydney 'Bulletin') is the most promising of native actresses now on the Australian stage. Already a fine-looking girl, Miss Harrie will be an imposing creature soon. She suits her facial expression to the word, speaks as earnestly and prettily as she looks, and is a magnetic young charmer to boot. In fact, if she continues to keep hor classical little head, and doesn't try to force herself into more notice than she naturally attracts, and avoids the usual pitfalls of the purfesh (ie profession), there should be a very bright future for George Ireland's daughter.'.
