Notes Born in the Rolleston area between 1906 and 1909. He lost his sight and an arm when about 8 yrs old; he then attended the School for the Blind in Brisbane. He was famous for his cornet and guitar playing, best known for his effort in winning the Australian Amateur Hour award on the 23rd Sept 1948, with a total vote of 6,492.
