| Notes |
One of the famous old-time comedians, died in Buffalo, New York, last February. His real name was Peter F. Walter. With Tommie Farron he became internationally famous. They first came together in 1872, and played a most successful Irish and Dutch sketch, entitled, “Chris and Lena.” For six years the act of Baker and Farron toured all the American circuits, and then played around the world. They were in Australia during the late 'eighties, and many of the old-timers will remember them. |
