Notes Miss Redmayne was living (or working) in Langlands' Cottage (Dunedin) in January 1858, and advertised to give lessons in the piano-forte and singing according to the principles taught in England. (Otago Witness 23/1/58, p. 4). In May 1858, her residence is given as Maclaggan Street, and by November she is living 'near the hospital'. She MAY have had a sister, Miss E. Redmayne who did sewing - dresses, mantles, bonnets - and needlework. And second sister, Miss C. Redmayne. Both sang in at least one concert.
