| Description |
Of Mice and Men revolves around two central characters, Lennie and George, and their dependence upon each other. Lennie has the mind of a child, but the strength of two men. His whole world centres around George, who steers him through life and protects him; for Lennie has a deep love of animals and cannot resist the desire to fondle them and other soft and helpless things - the soft fur of a mouse, the feel of a puppy's silken ear, the touch of velvet and of a woman's hair. Finally, George is compelled to help Lennie out of all his troubles with tragic and courageous finality. |
