| Description |
Turn the Dishes Over was a theatrical, full-length piece about the Depression, and is primarily a tribute to the kinds of work women were involved in prior to modern domestic technology. It is encapsulated by the phrase "making do". Many of the activities involve recycling of used materials to transfrom them, through skill and care into usable objects. The work is referential to growing up in the 1050's and the changes which began to occur in Australia on a material level. Turn The Dishes Over was made as a collaboration with the dancers.
