| Description |
Or is it? was created on Tasdance and first performed at the George Fairfax Studio, Victorian Arts Centre. The work examines bureaucracy and the depersonalising effects it has. Nanette incorporated a mobile lighting pyramid which was moved around the stage at various points within the dance.
Program Notes: An old Russian proverb states that if ash berries are red in Autumn, Winter will be cold and hard. The work shifts from the structures and restraints imposed by the bureaucratic world we inhabit towards a more self-reflective exploration of a personal and spiritual landscape. |
