| Description |
"John Laws/Sade" confronts not a void but densely occupied territory. If [the previous work] WALTZ theorises a desperate salvation through performance, the Sydney Front's new work finds that the siting of the stage for such glorious martyrdoms is itself problematic. [...] The performers find themselves unsure of the boundaries of their own bodies. The world traverses them without obstacle. They are in danger of becoming mere switching centres for all the networks of influence." |
