Oz Opera is bringing Mozart’s classic masterpiece, Don Giovanni, to the Festival in a fully-staged thrilling new production directed by the award-winning Michael Gow and performed by some of the stars of Australian opera. Based on the legends of a fictional libertine and seducer, Mozart’s Don Giovanni has all the necessary elements for an operatic story on a grand scale – love, betrayal, passion and revenge and a touch of comedy. It remains on the list of the top ten most performed operas worldwide, so this Festival season offers the perfect opportunity to experience it again or for the first time. |
