| Description |
Entering a soft blue-black chamber, the audience find Day circling in its centre. Starting small and quietly, this repetitive circular movement produces a multiplicity of unconscious rhythms and subterranean waves that Day rides and drives as the work unfolds.
Intermission continues Day’s exploration of durational choreographic forms, and the body as a site of continual becoming and infinite potential. Day’s work creates space for the audience to encounter choreography in unique ways.
A minimal and unrelenting live sound score by James Brown, pushes up against Day’s choreography, creating tension and relief from the hypnotic, at times nauseating, insistence of Day’s dancing. |
