| Description |
Adaptation of Morris West's book, adapted and directed by the author. The press release stated that "the story centres on a brief encounter between Magda Kardoss Von Gansfield, the amoral product of a decadent upbringing, and Carl Gustav Jung, a pioneer of modern psychiatry and estranged colleague of Freud, now entangled in a menage-a-trois with his pregnant wife Emma and Toni Wolff, his assistant and mistress. Jung is in the early stages of his own breakdown when the extraordinary woman, Magda, comes to him in a desperate attempt to find absolution from a past that threatens to engulf her. Set in 1913, this rich drama reflects the emotional and erotic extravagances of the Belle Epoque." |
