In the 1970s and 1980s, The Adelaide Consort of Singers comprises five singers and a pianist. The singers, all professional soloists in their own right, were members of the former ABC Adelaide Singers for a number of years - Cathy Weber, Genty Stevens, Norman Hunter, Malcolm Potter and Max Pearce.
The Concert was established in 1971 in association with the Arts Council of South Australia and presented a program to school children called Introducing Opera.
