The circus breaks loose from the big top. Steve Smith's meticulously detailed and outrageous paintings capture the circus of urban life, while Ian Smith's paintings are colourful chronicles of his life and times in his native Queensland. Wearing white masks, Del Kathryn Barton's sensuous nudes are provocative in the circus of desire, and Joe Furlonger takes on the circus ring with his major work, Circus Royale. |
