A date that strips dirty talk to its naked truth, a marriage proposal interrogated, nudity in the dairy aisle of a local supermarket. Cut into a series of ‘revolutions’, the everyday is turned upside down in a series of events that are equally funny and disturbing. Playwright Alice Birch rallies language into a revolt upon itself, commanding it to bear arms against the conventions of work, sex, motherhood, aging, love. |
