Description Weighed down by superstition, fear, and responsibility, King Herod has invited representatives from all the religions of the world to confer on whether John The Baptist, whom he has imprisoned in a dark pit, is indeed a prophet- and has seen the face of God. If it is not so, Herod can happily kill the prisoner…. but he fears retribution from both God and the followers of The Baptist if he harms a genuinely ‘holy’ man.
