Beethoven Triumphant - With the 'Emperor', Beethoven brought new drama to the piano concerto form. Grand and flourishing, and ultimately triumphant, this is music to rouse the spirit. Its sobering to think, though, that by this point, Beethoven was too deaf to play it himself. |
