| Description |
A Rod, Hand and Glove Puppet Play for primary school children, with music by Stravinsky and narration to tell the traditional story about a soldier returning home who meets the Devil and exchanges his violin (his soul) for wealth. The scenes are set in the Middle Ages using manuscripts, pictures and sculpture of the period as design source material. This production returns to a traditional approach to puppetry where the puppeteer is not in evidence and fantastic world of puppetry can work its magic. Presented in Primary Schools throughout Tasmania from May 11 to November 26. |
