Description Physical differences between able and disabled dancers dissolve as the beat of the night club music takes hold.

Talking Down was the company’s first explicit exploration of the concept of cultures of disability, inspired by the thoughts of dancer Melanie Creaser. At the time Melanie was exploring ideas about having a culture of Down Syndrome through her language and her personal expression using dance. Talking Down built a gestural language among each of the dancers, weaving this into a series of images expressing the energy and the imagination of the company members
