Brincat and van Reyk will present the next iteration of the acclaimed work No Performance Today, which sees the pair collaborating with the New South Wales Police Band to stage a choreographed sound portrait, moving between the bustling public space of the Eveleigh Markets into the cavernous Carriageworks public space. No Performance Today gently unravels the sonic and movement cohesion of the marching band – a regimented, rigid entity – to draw attention to the idiosyncrasies that lie within this collective of individuals. |
