Description |
Soapbox presented as part of the 2015 Surry Hills Festival is a celebration of the performative possibilities of public oratory. Using the ‘speakers corner’ as a starting point, four artists will experiment with public address – testing its limits to tackle contemporary issues with verve and panache. This public display of common concerns will seek to give new life to a waning forum of self expression and hopefully reinvigorate the soapbox as a way for communities to communicate. |
