Description |
On Friday evening the Philharmonic Society held its first Concert at the Pulteny Hotel; a variety of airs, duets, glees, &c. were sung in the course of the evening, and several pieces were performed in a manner highly creditable to those who had the arrangement of the evenlng's amusement, as well as to the performers, the instrumental part of which consisted principally of the very fine band of the 7th who maintained their justly high character. |
