Description |
Last night's new programme included many excellent items, chief among which were the vocal contributions of Mrs Oldham, Miss Julie Cleveland, Messrs Loch, McQueen and Tom Stephen. Mrs Oldham declined encores for her lulaby ballad "Hush Thee, My Baby " and the song " Waiting". " The Sweetest Story Ever Told " and "At Eventide " were Miss Cleveland's contributions, both artistically rendered Mr McQueen's two songs, " Beware, When Bngnt Eyes Glance " and "The Village Blacksmith," were rendered in good voice. Tne selections by the orchestra were other features of tbe programe, tha Sylvia ballet air, Polish dance, the negro absurdity 'Lucinda's Serenade." the "Tandem Waltz," and Prof Lockhead s selection on popular airs being particularly well received. Tonight the same new programme will be repeated. Tomorrow nignt a humorous element will be introduced at Cremorne by the reappearance of Mr Bob Bell in a budget of new comic specialties. |
