Description A large audience was present at Queen's hall on Wednesday night, when Mrs. Johnson James, the well-known soprano, gave a farewell concert prior to her removal to the goldfields. It is now about 15 months since Mrs. James came to Western Australia, bringing with her excellent credentials from the Eastern States. She speedily established herself as a public favourite in Perth, and on the many occasions that she has appeared on the concert platform she has always received special tokens of the favour of her hearers.
