A French comedy Baisers Perdus by Andre Birabeau with a curious psychological twist was presented last night by the Independent Theatre. "I have bled from a wound I have never received" says Etienne Cogolin in explanation of the dilemma into which he has fallen for 20 years through believing that his daughter Henriette is not his own. Henriette runs away on her 20th birthday to the home of her godfather Henri Paithes who she has long believed is her real father although he is Cogolin's best friend.
