“"Variety on Parade” a selected company of musical and novelty entertainers from the Royal Victorian Institute for the Blind, St. Kilda Road, Melbourne, will make their annual visit to Echuca on Tuesday April 15th in the Tivoli Theatre. [Line break.] The policy of the Royal Victorian Institute for the Blind in giving an entertainment of the highest standard has resulted in packed houses everywhere. The Institute is particularly fortunate in announcing the welcome re-appearance of the Broadways, in a new juggling and balancing feat and special engagement of the popular comedian, Jim Romaine in comedy songs, stories and sketches. This will be the first appearance in this town of Valerie Smith, brilliant pianiste [sic.] and harmonist and of Arch Barnes, baritone and novelty instrumentalist, whistler and impersonator. Alf Broadway will present radium puppets, a novelty for young and old. Elsie Robins, popular singer and ventriloquist, and the Two Jays, in comedy, harmony and patter will be other attractions.” |
