| Description |
On Thursday the Heir at Law was again performed to a rather full and respectable house ... Between the acts a song was to have been sung according to announcement in the bills of the day, but from some cause, which was not satisfactorily explained, omitted. The consequence was, that the audience would not suffer the concluding piece, viz, Charles the Second, or the Merry Monarch, to proceed until Mr. Meredith appeared and made an apology of which they very good-naturedly accepted. |
