Written by Irwin Shaw. Six American soldiers have been killed in the war that breaks out sometime in 1937, but when the squad is about to inter the corpses in the newly-dug grave, the six men rise up in protest against their deaths, and simply refuse to be buried.
Place: Behind the Lines in the War that is to begin tomorrow, and in other various parts of America.
