| Description |
The building in style resembles the transept of the Great Exhibition of 1851. It will seat about a thousand people and provide accommodation for at least 760, at the social gatherings of the Association. Although erected for the advocacy of teetotalism, it is not to be exclusively devoted to that purpose, but will be opened for lectures and entertainments calculated to counteract the attractions of the public-house. |
