Description Kurtjar dancer Jack Sheppard’s debut solo performance The Honouring traces themes of suicide and trauma within Indigenous communities and the journey of grief and acceptance that those affected must travel. It explores the transitions the spirits have taken after suicide and pays homage to their names.

Using movement, dialogue, text and puppetry, this new work asks you to consider; does the soul get stuck between two worlds when attached to a taboo form of death, and without correct ritual to guide the spirit on?

The Honouring is an exciting new work by an emerging performer.
