| Description |
Lovelock's Dream Run, directed by George Webby, is a wonderful new play by Wellington author David Geary. It tells the story of Howard, a pupil at Timaru Boys' High School, who has an obsession with a former old boy, Jack Lovelock the legendary runner. His hero worship is a way of escaping the almost intolerable pressures of homosexual adolescene. Alternating between schoolboy realities and adolescent fantasies, it is funny, ironic and great entertainment. |
