A picnic of the Dowling-street Wesleyan Sunday school children took place at Clifton Gardens, Chowder Bay, on Saturday last. The Vesta started with the children from Cowper wharf, Woolloomooloo Bay, at 9 o'clock. The steamer made various trips during the day, landing the visitors. Altogether there were about 400 or 500 persons in the gardens by 3 o'clock. Various amusements, without intermission except for luncheon, were entered into with spirit.
