Description So begins the eagerly awaited new play from internationally acclaimed playwright Hone Kouka. The Prophet is the third in a trilogy of plays beginning with Waiora (1996 New Zealand International Festival of the Arts) and Home Fires (1998 New Zealand International Festival of the Arts). Five teenage cousins have returned to their 'home' on the East Coast for another cousin's unveiling (headstone ceremony). Over the three days there, they deal with the new roles they must accept as adults. Against the backdrop of basketball, cool urban sounds and the beautiful East Coast of the North Island, The Prophet is moving, funny and definitely unforgettable.
