This play is a sequel to a very famous Iraqi comedy tv show first produced in 1961 titled Tahit Moos Al-Hallaq / Under the Blade of the Barber. One of the famous episodes presented an old illiterate women who came to the barber to read her a letter that came from her son. The old barber himself was a student in one of the literacy schools, so he could not read properly and made many mistakes. This play presents a second letter from the son of that old woman, this time, the letter bemoans the chaotic situation in Iraq. |
