Description A transporting play...it is a gritty ribald drama involving some early republicans - female convicts being transported to Botany Bay to swell the colony of thieves. This proud but pox-ridden mob is oppressed by male jailers en route.
Set in 1807, Female Transport is an account of the 158-day voyage of the 'Sydney Cove' from Falmouth to Port Jackson.
