| Description |
This double bill by Barry Dickins is a tribute to two real characters from his past, both of whom happen to be Jewish. Hymie Slade was an artist and an eccentric. Minnie Mankowitz was simply eccentric. These plays give us two more portraits in the now well-known Dickins collection of sad, poor, rejected lonely and unfashionable down-and-outs who people his city of Melbourne. |
