| Description | The life of Georgina Hogarth, set in 1907. Georgy is 80 and lives quietly with her maid in Edwardian London. Her brother-in-law Charles Dickens has been dead for almost 40 years. Seven of his 10 children, his parents, parents-in-law, his seven siblings, his wife and all but one of her nine siblings are deceased. Georgy is one of the few survivors and had an intimate knowledge of the life and work of the world famous novelist. She was housekeeper, bookkeeper, nanny, fellow thespian, musician, international travel companion, editor, secretary, valet, friend, confident and factotum extraordinaire. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
