On Friday afternoon, and throughout the evening until a very late hour, the Chinese camp in Spring Creek was a scene of great excitement and amusement. Next door was the musicians tent, wherein were seated some six or eight individuals who exhausted all their energies in the maintenance of a perpetual musical clamour. |
