Description |
Programme description: 'Tokyo Two is a paranoid fantasy set in the most schizoid of cities. It is a tourist thriller in which the hysterical drama of the contemporary couple mirrors Australia's foreign affair with Japan - both at the dangerous stage between romance and maturity'.
The account of a journey Virginia Baxter and Keith Gallasch made to Japan several years ago...exploring Open City's "emphasis in the politics of everyday life"...Baxter and Gallasch have performed two other accounts of their trip. The first was Tokyo/Now/Thriller (The Performance Space, 1987), the second, Australia-Japan: A Love Story (The Listening Room, ABC FM 1988). |
