Description Alice Birch's Revolt. She said. Revolt again. asks what it might mean to be awoman in the 21st century. Written in just three days, this is an angry, horrifying, playful, hilarious, subtle and extreme vision of our world. This textcame out of a commission from the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2013,where Alice was infuriated and spurred by the provocation made famous in1976 by American historian Laurel Thatcher Ulrich: 'well-behaved women rarelymake history.' Alice tells us that any staging of her text should not be well-behaved. And therefore this production is very naughty.
