Description Mr Lucky is a clown cabaret about crooner Al Bowlly. Born in Mozambique, he worked as a busker, barber and jockey in South Africa. Bowlly eventually moved to England, becoming one of the first singer superstars, ending up recording over 1000 songs. Bowlly had a voice like velvet but a life marked by misfortune: he found his wife in bed with another man on his wedding night, he was killed by a door flying off its handles during the blitz in World War II.
