Description |
In The Dock Brief, a 63-year-old lawyer assinged by chance to defend a man who murdered his wife because of her sense of humour...the setting is a prison cell, effectively suggested by the projection of a small prison window...In the second play, Edwin is the son we never meet. We hear all about him, though, from the point of view of retired Judge, Sir Fennimore Truscott, his neighbour, Tom Marchbanks, and the boy's mother...the play turns wittily on the claim and denial relationship each character has with him. |
