| Description |
Joe Orton's 1966 play portrays a "bent" world...the plot centres around the embalmed corpse of Mrs McLeavy, and her delayed burial, as son Hal and accomplice Dennis, try to smuggle the proceeds of their bank robbery out in her casket. Pitted against them is the practised criminal intelligence of nurse Fay who is now intent on claiming her eighth husband, the new widower McLeavy (and his money). |
