Before an audience of about 1500, Tsai Ting-kai, commander of the 19th Chinese Route army, delivered a speech in Chinese at the request of the eight Chinese societies in Sydney. Among those present were Mr Albert Hing, president of the Sydney Chamber of Commerce, who acted as chairman, and the vice-president, Mr. James Chuey. |
