"'Fa'afafine' means literally 'like a woman', and is the Samoan term for males who take on the female role - a common practice in much of Polynesia. Fa'afafine was a solo work taking the fa'afafine as an icon of in-between-ness, written and performed by exciting young theatre maker, Brian Fuata, working with director Nigel Kellaway.
