Description |
The story of one girl's clever attempts to fabricate a picturesque, exciting past in order to make herself more interesting, charismatic, and attractive. Her small deceit gets many people into trouble, but Polly and her friends turn the trouble to good account. When the myth of Polly's secret past is divulged, she finally finds herself to be more interesting and attractive than before. She makes a desperate confession to being the plain-jane daughter of a Baptist clergyman. Excitingly fun, yet still sophisticated, this play reiterates the importance of being honest with oneself...with comic results. |
