| Description |
""History, etiquette, fairytales and the future are exposed as being the crutch that supports civilised man's frail beliefs"".
"Adults and children are allowed much less contact in the west than in other cultures and at other times in our own history. Children are trapped between idealised notions of childhood and expectations of responsible, highly institutionalised behaviour while being denied any power. The Girl with the Stone in her Shoe offered us the rare opportunity to work with a child and offers audiences the rare opportunity to enjoy a performance (drawn from her own words and attitudes) by a child in territory and times usually preserved for adults." |
