Description An evocative and captivating portrayal of New Zealand life that appeals to all the senses. The setting is the mudflats and volcanic hills of Duvauchelle Bay on Banks Peninsula, but it could be any rural hamlet. The period explored is the 1960s, but the themes explored are enduring. (Star Times) Each actor plays two roles, an adult and a child (or in one case, a dog).
