| Description |
Shipmates Connie and Annie arrive in this already peopled world in the 1860s. Separated almost immediately they continue their friendship by letters. Connie's thrist for education draes her into marraige with a man she later dubs 'The Encyclopedia' and a comfortable, though sometimes empty life in Dunedin, while Annie finds happiness in rural poverty in North Otago. Review: Otago Daily Times 14/11/1998. |
