Description The play, in its present form, is diffuse, moving through a highly stylised Armistice Day ceremony to a German compound in Crete, to the escape of two soldiers, one of whom is killed, and after some time we find ourselves at the heart of the action, when the surviving Kiwi seeks shelter for a year with a Cretan family.
