Adaptation of Charles Dickens novel, set in London and Paris at the time of the French Revolution. Focuses on the story of Sydney Carton, leading to his execution. Mullins has incorporated works by the Viennese-born composer Eric Korngold, especially his score for the film Anthony Adverse, to set the mood and heighten the story's emotional content. |
